What We Are Learning in Room 4

Reading:  Students will read the following stories "See The Birds", "Amazing Animals", " A Bath For Mert", "Fox and Crow", "Meet Gert". They will learn to read words with r-controlled vowels ir, ur, er. Students will continue working on sequencing events in stories read.  They will learn about characters, events, and the setting of the story. 

Language: Students will begin learning how to write a complete sentence and sentence rules.  We will write sentences together and independent stories.  Continue working on NOUNS(people, place, thing, animal).  Continue working on verbs (action words). We will begin working on different kinds of sentences (telling sentences that end with a period and questions that begin with a question word and end with a question mark). Continue to work on Adjectives (describing words). They will begin learning about prepositions and prepositional phrases! 

 Math: Continue learning about pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters! They will learn their names, values, how to count alike coins, and how to count groups of different coins! 

: Students will learn about our four seasons!  

 Social Studies
:Morning Meeting Board! 

Grading Policy
**All assignments are weighed equally as daily grades.**  
If your child receives below a 70 on a daily assignment, he/she may correct it.  Each corrected answer will be given 1/2 credit for a grade up to a 70.
