Week of Oct. 28-Nov. 1:

Writing: Sight Words:  be, me, he, you and see. We will continue to write in our journals, writing practice of our sight words and match upper and lowercase letters.

ELAR: Letter E- identify upper and lowercase of the letters, learning the sound and how to write the letter. We will review rhyming words by creating some in class, segmenting 1 syllable words into phonemes, cvc and vc review, blending and segmenting syllables and practice decoding and and spelling cvc words.

Math: I can count, write and compare numbers to 10. We will be doing Halloween activities this week in class that goes along with our I can statement.

Science: Finish up the pumpkin life cycle.

Social Studies and Health: i can say no to drugs. Discussion about saying no to drugs and staying drug free.

Art: I can color, cut and glue. The students will be working on Scarecrows to hang up in the classroom.

 

**Please continue to practice sight words each night along with practicing handwriting at home.

On Friday we will have a Sight word test over all the color and new words for the week and a Phonics test over the letters I, T, P, N, S, A, L, D, H,F, O, G, K and O.
