What We Are Learning in Room 4

Reading:. Intro. words with r-controlled vowel AR. Students will read "The Tree", " Mark Shark", " Clark's Part", " More Fun For Jake",  and " At the Shore". 

Language: Students will begin learning how to write a complete sentence (starts with a capital and ends with a punctuation mark). They will also work on word or in sentences. Students will continue learning about nouns. Continue working on verbs (action words). Students will work on knowing if a sentence needs a ?  Continue working on Adjectives (describing words). Review Proper Nouns (people, pets, places) Intro. prepositions and prepositional phrases. 

 Math: counting!!! Students will practice counting forwards, backwards, by 2's, 5's, and 10's. Students will begin learning about coins. 

:All about weather! temperature, thermometer, weather, wind, air!

 Social Studies
: Student's will  continue learning about community helpers. Vocabulary: job, wants, needs, tools, good, service, volunteer, transportation, community helper. 

Grading Policy
**All assignments are weighed equally as daily grades.**  
If your child receives below a 70 on a daily assignment, he/she may correct it.  Each corrected answer will be given 1/2 credit for a grade up to a 70.
