Home Reader: "Animal's On The Go"

What we are learning in room 2  

Reading:. Intro. words with long(oa, ow, o_e) Intro. Contractions 've, 're. Students will read "It Was Snow Fun, ", " Thomas Rivera", " Boat Rides", " Fun With Gram", and" Rex Knows". 

Language: Students will begin learning how to write a complete sentence (starts with a capital and ends with a punctuation mark). They will also work on word or in sentences. Students will continue learning about nouns. Continue working on verbs (action words). Students will work on knowing if a sentence needs a ?  Continue working on Adjectives (describing words). Review Proper Nouns (people, pets, places) Intro. prepositions and prepositional phrases. 

 Math: Continue working on Story Problems: students will determine if they need to subtract or add to solve the story problem.

 Social Studies
: Student's will begin learning about community helpers. Vocabulary: job, wants, needs, tools, good, service, volunteer, transportation, community helper. 

Grading Policy
**All assignments are weighed equally as daily grades.**
If your child receives below a 70 on a daily assignment, he/she may correct it.  Each corrected answer will be given 1/2 credit for a grade up to a 70.
