Should the need arise to postpone and/or cancel school due to inclement weather, the following Inclement Weather Policy will take place.
- The decision to postpone and/or cancel school will be made as quickly as possible in order to allow parents the ability to plan for possible child care.
- Phone message via the EISD's mass communication system, School Messenger, will be broadcasted.
- Announcement will be posted on the district website, www.edgewood-isd.net
- Announcement will be posted to all EISD social media pages including campus Facebook pages and district Twitter account.
- Announcement will be made via the Edgewood ISD app. The app is available in both Google Play and the App Store. Search for Edgewood ISD. Please make sure that you turn ON notifications when prompted, to receive alerts when new information is updated.
- Announcement will be sent to the following Dallas news stations. News stations will post on air and online at the corresponding website.

- All athletic information including cancellations or postponements of games and/or practices will be posted in Rank One.
