๐๐๐ ๐๐ฐ๐จ๐จ๐, ๐๐๐ฑ๐๐ฌ โThe Edgewood Independent School District Board of Trustees announced that Mr. Scott Tyner has been named the lone finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools, following a board meeting held on April 21, 2025.
Mr. Tyner currently serves as Superintendent of Martins Mill ISD, a role he has held since April 2021. Prior to that, he served for nine years as Superintendent of Tenaha ISD, where he also worked as a coach and principal beginning in 2005.
A proud 1990 graduate of Edgewood ISD, Tyner is familiar with the โPurple and Goldโ.
โAli, Aidan, and I are beyond honored, humbled, and excited to rejoin the school family where it all began,โ said Tyner. โThe purple and gold have remained close to my heart through the years, getting to follow my nephews and niece during their Bulldog years. I absolutely cannot wait to rekindle old relationships and begin new ones with the stakeholders of the Bulldog Family. Bulldogs Stand Together, and we canโt wait to begin this amazing journey.โ
Tyner and his wife, Ali, have been married since 1998. They are the proud parents of three sons: Andrew, 22, and Alex, 20, who are both attending Oklahoma State University, and Aidan, 14, who is completing eighth grade at Martins Mill.
In accordance with state law, a 21-day waiting period is required before the hiring can be made official. The Edgewood ISD Board of Trustees will schedule a meeting at the conclusion of that period to finalize the appointment.
