The Award Ceremony scheduled for Friday, April 5th, was canceled due to weather and our plan was to reschedule. However, due to STAAR testing windows and limited availability, we will not be able to reschedule a public ceremony at this time.
It is very important to us to celebrate our students!! We will recognize their hard work during their library time. We will take pictures to share on social media so that families are able to join in on celebrating their success.

Staff said, "Atchley saw an upset kindergarten student that lost his way as the kids were lining up for dismissal. Atchley took that kindergartner and had him sit with him, helped him calm down, and stayed with him until he left."

Mrs. Haley Burton, Edgewood High School Health Science Teacher, shared today that Senior, A Cassell, passed her Patient Care Technician certification exam yesterday!! 🙌🙌
Burton stated, "Cassell is extremely driven and disciplined with her studies. Super proud of her and all of her hard work! She is going to be very successful in nursing school!" 👩⚕️🏥🩹🩺💊💉
According to the National Center for Competency Testing, "Patient care technicians are allied health professionals who provide direct patient care within their regulated scope of practice. They perform basic nursing assistant tasks (as delegated by the nursing or medical staff which may include obtaining patient vital signs and other data, communicating with the healthcare team and patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), complying with confidentiality requirements, and performing ECGs and phlebotomy tasks."

What an AMAZING experience today!
Some of our students volunteered at and others participated in the No Limits Livestock Experience at the Van Zandt County Fair.
The No Limits Livestock Experience is a hands-on, immersive, county fair experience. 🤩🤩
The VIP guest students were treated like county fair royalty and were provided the opportunity to experience all aspects of the county fair - pigs, cattle, goats, chickens, sheep, rabbits, ag mechanics, horses, horticulture, robotics, and floral design, plus lunch, treats & the carnival! 🐖🐑🐄🎪🎡🎢🎠🎟️
